While there is still lots of work left to be done, we are finally inching toward a (globally very unequal) recovery from the COVID-19 public health crisis. In Adams Morgan, things have been busy, and my 1C03 duties have been keeping up with the pace.
Below is a summary of the past month, what's in store for June 2021, our monthly resident + business in focus, and this month's video briefing.

Amendment to settlement agreement with The Game/Tiki on 18th passed 8-0
Letter on temporarily allowing outdoor music at Madam's Organ was proposed, not added to agenda (failed 3-5)
Request for traffic safety assessment on Columbia Rd passed 8-0
Request for bike lane on Lanier Pl passed 8-0
Support for painting bike corrals in Reed Cooke neighborhood passed 8-0
Request for partial opening of Walter Pierce field to the public passed 8-0
Support for auditing DOES Office of Unemployment Insurance passed 8-0
$4,000 grant for nutrition education program at Marie Reed passed 8-0
$4,000 grant to support families with financial insecurity passed 8-0
Organized and moderated a panel on domestic violence
Represented ANC 1C at the May Adams Morgan Partnership BID board meeting
Co-signed DC Jobs with Justice petition for essential workers' rights
Testified at the DC council roundtable on vacant and blighted properties
Spoke on sexual assault victim services at DC Health public hearing
Co-signed Empower DC letter to Mayor Bowser calling for public housing improvements
Facilitated residents' efforts to replace sand in Kalorama Park playground (honestly, it was the residents who did most of the work on this one!)
