Ready, Set, Let's Go!

The new year is now upon us! And with that comes a new ANC term with several new commissioners across Adams Morgan.

Following a very busy 2022, I'm both grateful for what's led to this moment and excited for what's in store. There are many public works projects for DC agencies to complete! And I plan on urging them through completion.

If you haven't taken a look yet, click the image above to access my 2022 yearly review for ANC 1C03.

On January 2, 2023, I was sworn into office for a second term, alongside hundreds of other newly elected ANC commissioners. The ceremony, seen above, was held in the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

Now let's look back at December 2022, glance toward January 2023, meet our organization + business in focus, and see this month's video briefing.

WHAT WE DID
  • Supported (6-0) a settlement agreement for Jesiree's Chop House & Lounge

    • These are voluntary agreements between community groups like the ANC and liquor vendors over the terms of their business operations

  • Represented ANC 1C at the December 2022 Adams Morgan Partnership BID board meeting

  • Received finalized plans for one-way conversions on Wyoming and Kalorama

    • DDOT has included speed bumps, as requested by myself and other commissioners

    • Once DDOT shares a timeline for installation I will alert neighbors

  • Spoke with local news outlets regarding two shootings that occurred mid-December

WHAT'S UP NEXT
  • January 4: ANC 1C general meeting (agenda here, link to attend here)

  • DGS leaf collection has begun cycle 2 throughout DC

  • Ongoing: DC Water is beginning the replacement of lead pipes on Columbia Rd NW

    • This is a continuation of the project that replaced pipes on Wyoming and Kalorama in 2022
