This past month was filled with activity in Adams Morgan and 1C03 specifically. As the weather gets warmer it's much easier to head outside and be active, especially as more of DC is vaccinated!

Here's a brief recap of what happened this past month, as well as a look ahead at April 2021, our monthly resident + business in focus, and this month's video briefing.
WHAT WE DID
Letter of support passed 8-0 for zoning relief for the Festival Center on Columbia Rd
Resolution passed 8-0 urging WMATA to maintain investment in public transit
Gave testimony calling for DHS to invest in survivors of domestic abuse
Testified in support of a prospective barbershop + lounge at ABRA hearing, renewing previous calls to address residents' noise concerns more equitably
Represented ANC 1C at the Adams Morgan Partnership BID annual meeting
Participated in neighborhood cleanup with many amazing volunteers
Co-signed Sunrise Movement letter to WMATA on budget cuts (highly suggest reading!)
Co-signed letter to Mayor Bowser suggesting a parking pilot study
Met with local leaders, Truist legal staff to ensure encampment residents on plaza near old SunTrust building would not be addressed as a police matter
