Clean and Organized

While DC waits for Congress to address the potential budget shortfall that would severely hurt DC the rest of the year, I've been very active with fellow commissioners. We are working hard to keep the neighborhood clean, lively, and well-managed. That means telling various DC agencies what work needs to be done and why it's important.
Between Porchfest, graduation season, warmer weather, and the upcoming World Pride event, Adams Morgan has been busy lately. There is no shortage of opportunities to contribute and help keep the neighborhood and DC more broadly in good conditions, despite what might be happening in the federal government.

Let's take a moment to revisit April 2025, look forward to May 2025, meet our organization + business in focus, and see this month's video briefing.
WHAT WE DID
Passed (7-0) a resolution calling for the PKEEP program to remain funded
Along with several other ANCs around DC, these efforts were successful in protecting the program

These proposed changes are intended to address business retention in commercial spaces at that location

Construction on the bridge is expected to begin this summer
DDOT continues to install bus stops and benches on recently renovated Columbia Road
