Calm and Focused

We made it through 2025. Many of the challenges linger, but it is with renewed energy and determination that we will take on the new year. That includes familiar territory—like oversight hearings and public works projects—and unexpected changes. With the continued recklessness of the presidential administration, along with one of DC's busiest local election seasons ever, there is plenty to pay attention to.

Adams Morgan has seen several updates to infrastructure and will continue to welcome more. Projects to keep an eye on are Pepco's renovation of the Champlain substation, investment in Kalorama Park, and ongoing efforts by DC Water to maintain the sewage system.

Beyond these specific projects, local business longevity remains a priority for me and others in Adams Morgan. The past year was exceptionally difficult for those running small businesses in DC. I will continue to do my best to advocate for resources that can help businesses thrive while contributing to the local fabric of the Adams Morgan community.
