Students, teachers, and staff are returning to the classroom. There is lots to be excited for as the academic year commences and autumn bestows Adams Morgan with cooler weather. At the same time, much of DC is under unfamiliar stress as the federal government continues its assault on our city.

I've been incredibly proud of the residents stepping up to this challenge and taking action to protect life in our neighborhoods. This has taken many forms, with local organizers often leading the way. If you're wondering how to become more involved in these efforts, let me know and I'll help direct you to more information.
